Singing with Tim in Spring

7th May 2015

Helene and I spent a lovely morning at Tim Laycock's house recording some local Dorset songs and listening to Tim's stories about the area. He talked about how old songs are like the bluebells, lying dormant under the earth until the conditions are right for them to bloom again. Bluebells can lie hidden for a thousand years. Very Arthurian...

The sheep and birds added a lovely back drop to the recordings. We managed to record me singing 'The Blackbird' before my bump gets any bigger and I can't breathe properly...
